Our Appraisers

Jon Gargulak, MAI brings more than 25 years of experience when assisting a wide variety of clients with their real estate. Prior to establishing a commercial real estate appraisal company in 2001, Jon gained valuable experience originating long term debt financing and managing multi-million dollar institutional-grade commercial real estate throughout the country for IDS Life Insurance Company and American Express Financial Advisors.  Jon has extensive experience conducting in-depth research and analysis on complex real estate for lenders, attorneys, accountants, local, state and federal government entities, and private property owners.

With a passion for the environment he specializes in the valuation of unique tracts of real estate throughout west-central and northern Wisconsin.  This passion translates to his personal life as you will often find him out exploring on foot, on a bike or in a boat.  His prior experience as an institutional grade banker allows him to bring a unique perspective to other asset classes such as hospitality tourism (hotels, resorts, bar/restaurants, campgrounds, golf courses), multi-tenant commercial property, single-tenant net-leased retail, industrial timberland, car-washes, laundromats, conservation easements, condemnation/eminent domain cases and subsidized apartment complexes.   

 

Jon is currently an instructor for the Appraisal Institute, spent five years as an adjunct instructor at UW-Stout, has served as a board of director and on several committees for the North Star Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, is a member of the Rotary Club of Eau Claire, and has demonstrated life-long commitment to giving back to his community.   Jon is an avid cyclist and enjoys traveling with his wife and visiting his adult children in his spare time.

Aaron Johnson currently practices as a certified general appraiser based out of Hayward, Wisconsin.  Aaron is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with an extensive business background.  Prior to joining the firm I early 2020, Aaron spent his time in the forest products industry.   On a professional level, Aaron thrives on assisting clients with challenging real estate issues, particularly related to the hospitality and tourism sector.  On a personal note, Aaron is committed to his family and is regularly found coaching one of his kids teams, volunteering at the Hayward Sports Center, or with a fly rod in his hand.  

Davis Drewiske was raised in Hudson, Wisconsin, now based out of Stillwater, Minnesota and serves as integral support in all facets of the valuation process.  Davis joined the firm in 2021 after spending time in the financial services industry and a successful career in the National Hockey League.   A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Davis has a demonstrated attention to detail and desire to help others.  In his spare time, Davis can be found spending time with his family, coaching his kids’ teams and enjoying the great outdoors.

How much will an appraisal cost?

All assignments are unique. Please contact us for a free consultation to obtain an estimate tailored to your needs.
 

How long does it take to receive an appraisal?
Depending on the scope of work for the assignment and the other reports already being completed in the office, a typical waiting period can be 1 week to 6 weeks. As long as there is not significant activity or need of appraisals, you can usually expect to receive your appraisal within 4 weeks or less. Upon engaging the appraiser, an expected completion date will be set-up.

What is USPAP?
USPAP stands for the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. These standards are considered to be the governing law and guidance book for appraisers. The standards are published and maintained by the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) of the Appraisal Foundation. Every licensed appraiser is required to know and follow the statements, standards and adhere to advisory opinions of USPAP. The primary purpose of USPAP is 'to promote and maintain a high level of public trust as well as confidence in professional appraisal practice'.
